An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and positive individual to apply their expertise in improvement programme design and delivery to facilitate the use of improvement science as a means of reducing harm and improving systems across acute care settings in Scotland. 

We are at a key stage in the development of the Acute Care Portfolio, with an emerging remit that supports health and care professionals to test and implement changes that aim to improve experience and outcomes for people in acute care. This work is innovative and complex and focused on developing, testing and spreading a range of approaches to drive safe, effective and person-centred improvements. A key element of this role is engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver this complex programme of work.

The successful candidate will provide expertise in the design and delivery of improvement programmes and knowledge in the application of improvement methodology in a variety of acute care settings. The Associate Improvement Advisor will be educated to Masters level or possess equivalent training in an aspect of implementation and improvement science or have extensive practical experience of supporting implementation and improvement programmes at national level.  

Strong communication, interpersonal and team working skills are required along with the ability to work to deadlines and effectively manage change.
