We are seeking to appoint a Project Officer to provide project support to the Area Drug and Therapeutic Committee (ADTC) Collaborative.  ADTCs are responsible for medicines governance and approving use of medicines in each NHS board. The Scottish Government response to the Health and Sport Committee inquiry into the access to the new medicines in 2013 set out a number of recommendations to strengthen the work of the ADTCs to ensure the delivery of robust, high quality and consistent medicines governance at a national and regional level.  Healthcare Improvement Scotland hosts the NHS Scotland Area Drug and Therapeutics Committees (ADTC) Collaborative which facilitates this closer working. The ADTC Collaborative will also play a key role in supporting recommendations of the Montgomery Review into access to new medicines.
